The Farewell ceremony of the execomm 2009 took place at the committee room on the 29th of January 2010. Our Dean, Professor S.S. Nabi and Professor Mini. S. Thomas, branch counselor, accompanied by other faculty members added glitter to the event.

The ceremony kicked off with a welcome address by Imran Ali, IEEE JMI Chairperson, followed by an address by Mini Ma'am who congratulated the Execomm 2009 for working tirelessly for our student organization. She stressed that the current execomm needed to work even hard for the organization. Professor Nabi took the stage and praised all the IEEE members for their dedicated work. He encouraged the overall development of the students, encourages more publishing regarding our organization, moving forward and dominating every field.

Then, Hamza Tahir Khan, Ex-chairperson, IEEE JMI addressed the gathering. He thanked everyone for their cooperation. He advised us to work as a team and come out with solutions not as just leaders but also as followers. This was followed by titles and certificate distribution to the outgoing execomm by the Dean and Mini Ma'am. A short movie created by the students was showcased which portrayed the unique aspects of each member of the graduating execomm. It brought back memories and was relished by everyone.

Special cards were given to the graduating execomm by Dean Sir, which contained messages from the members for the outgoing committee. Then, Prateek Bagga, General Secretary of the branch, shared his experiences with the Execomm 2009. It was followed by a group photograph of the newly elected and the graduating execomm with Dean Sir and Mini Ma'am.

There was a vote of thanks by Wasiq Hussain, and finally it was time for some fun. The execomm members played musical chairs, with even Mini Ma'am joining in. This was aptly won by Hamza Khan. It was a fun filled event which will stay in our minds forever.
