25th Feb 2011, SCADA Lab, JMI
A fun workshop on Adobe Photoshop was organized by IEEE JMI. The workshop was conducted by Rahul Chauhan (Chairperson IEEE JMI). In the workshop many
tools and tricks of Photoshop were explained and discussed.
The first version of Photoshop was launched in 1990 by a student named Thomas Knoll, who developed it as a part of his college project. In the same year, Adobe bought the rights to distribute this and in 1990 launched the first version of Photoshop exclusively for Macintosh. The latest version of Photoshop right now available in market is Photoshop CS5. Since its launch, it has become a favourite tool of both designers and amateurs for many applications like editing and resizing photographs, graphic designing, web designing etc.
Students were excited about the workshop and many were surprised by the great power of this tool. The session was quite interactive and the students asked a lot of questions ranging from the use of Photoshop in web designing to its use even in editing pictures of prospective bride or groom for better marriage proposals!!
Apart from that, it was decided to hold more such sessions in near future.
A proposal to conduct a Photoshop competition in near future was also discussed. Since the designing team of IEEE is also going to be formed, such a competition will help in identifying the right persons for the job.
Overall, it was a fun session enjoyed by the students who are looking forward to more such sessions in the future. |
