There were a number of events that took place during the week like CREZON, ENGLISH DEBATE and COLLOQUY(Group Discussion). The response of the students was simply amazing. These events saw active participation not only from Jamia Millia Islamia but also from other colleges as well like Amity school of Engineering & Technology, NSIT and Gargi College. The first day saw an interactive session with Dr. (Mrs.) Mini S. Thomas, Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia a pioneer in bringing up of IEEE’s activities at all levels(she currently serves as the Chair of the SAC for R10) in which she welcomed and enlightened everyone with the activities of IEEE JMI and how the student branch has come so far establishing itself as one of the exemplary student branches of IEEE and the Best WIE affinity group in the R10. She also briefed the audience about the IEEE and it historic journey through times and how it had evolved to its modern day existence. A slide show highlighting the contributions of IEEE in the field of technology was also shown.

The CREZON and The English Debate were held on the following day I.e. on the 18th march. While the CREZON was an intra-college affair the English Debate saw participation from other colleges as well. The CREZON was an MCQ based aptitude cum general knowledge test in which the participants’ analytical and comprehensive abilities were tested. On the other hand in the Debate competition the participants expressed their views on the issue "Should Governments Negotiate with Terrorists".

The COLLOQUY: Group Discussion was held on the next day in which and all the participants had a discussion on the topic – "Is Democracy in India a Farce?" which was given to them on the spot by a faculty member from Career Launcher - A pioneer institute in management education. The event was divided into two sections. Section-1 was the group discussion and section-II was an analysis of the GD by the faculty.

The events were held in the committee room of F/O Engg. & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia and the last day saw the prize distribution ceremony in which the deserving students were awarded and participation certificates were given by Professor Mini S. Thomas to all the participating students. Amity school of engineering & technology did a clean sweep at the awards ceremony as they grabbed the top honors in the debate as well as in the group discussion competition.

The 3-day extravaganza ended with a vote of thanks by Professor Mini S. Thomas and Jhilmil Zafrani (WIE Chairperson-IEEE JMI) wherein the two thanked the participants for showing such great interest and looked forward to their involvement in the events to come in the near future.
